To one of my dearest and oldest childhood friends. In 3rd grade, I met an amazing girl named Emily.
22 years later, she is one of the most beautiful and kind people I know. I am so grateful to have her in my life. Congrats Cole and Em. Can't wait for the big day.

“Love is always patient and kind. It is never jealous. Love is never boastful or conceited. It is never rude or selfish. It does not take offense and is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in others people's sins, but delights in the truth. It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes.”

It's a???
This is my beautiful friend and her cute family. They are having their 3rd baby, and Guess what?!? It's a boy! This session was supposed to take place somewhere else, but the wind was out of control so we took cover by this building. When I was pregnant I hated any pictures of myself. I looked like a big egg. This momma however, looks amazing!

"M" Family
This was a fun session. The kids were such troopers in the cold, and I managed to get them a little muddy but the parents were ok about it :) We took these on a portion of the Jordan River Parkway in Lehi and as we were snapping away people were jogging and biking by. Kinda funny!
It's been awhile...
I have been the biggest slacker lately posting things to my blog. If I am lucky I get a preview or two in on Facebook and that's about it. Here is a way cute little family who just had their first new lil. She had SO much hair. She was the sweetest little thing. I have known the mother since middle school and I was thrilled when they invited me to their home to take some family pictures. This was kind of a lifestyle session and I felt that the images were beautiful in black and white.

These are days you'll remember...
I have come to the conclusion that there will never be an "easy" stage of your childs age that they are. You have the newborn stage (which I absolutely hated), and then the terrible twos, and then it goes on from there. BUT no matter what the challenge, you will always remember... Those days :)

“Other things may change us, but we start and end with family”
A few days ago, I was having a rough day. My husband was out of town for work, and my kids were driving me insane! I could not wait for those 2 days to be over so that when he got home I could pass the kids off and say "your turn". Imagine having dad be gone for an entire year! This family is having to say a temporary goodbye to their dad who is in the military. He will be gone for 12 months. It is something that is unimagineable to me. I admire their strength and their support for one another and I know that they will survive this and its only a small part of their journey.
